Regulation-I
For candidates seeking admission under this regulation no educational qualification is prescribed. Those who have completed 18 Years of Age on 1st July 2010 (those born on or before 30.06.1992) are eligible to apply for B.A Degree Programme (no relaxation even for one day). All eligible candidates will be admitted to First Year of the respective Programmes. The duration of Programme is THREE YEARS.

Regulation - II
Admission to the First Year of Three Year B.A. Degree Programme is open to candidates who have passed :
(a) The Two Year Pre-University Examination conduced by the pre University Education Board in Karnataka State; or Any other examination considered as equivalent there to; or
(b) Candidates from other states who have successfully completed 12 years of schooling (either 10+2 or 11+1 or Higher Secondary Examination - 12 Years of schooling excluding Nursery education) or
(c) Pre University Examination in Vocational Courses conducted by the Department of Vocational Education, Government of Karnataka.
Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)
Eligibility for Admission :

Regulation-II
A pass in the qualifying examination i.e., (B.A/ B.Com/B.B.M) for admission to M.A/ M.Com is one of the conditions of eligibility in the case of candidates applying under Regulation II.
Master of Commerce (M..Com.)

Admission to M.Com Degree Programmes is made under two Regulations
Regulation-I

Master of Science (M.Sc.) - Mathematics
Objective
In response to the exponentially growing demand for well trained post-graduates in Mathematics from Institutions with professional excellence, the Karnataka State Open University is offering a Two year semester based M.Sc. Mathematics Degree Programme (Two Semester per year-Total Four Semester). The programme is specially designed for Teachers, Engineers, computer Scientists and others who are interested in Mathematics but could not pursue a Master degree programme in Mathematics for various reasons. The Karnataka State Open University’s M.Sc. Mathematics programme is a tightly scheduled, highly structured, and application oriented.
Mathematics is as old as mankind and civilization. Mathematics is advancing at spectacular rate and it is about logical analysis, decision making, deductions, precision and is also about quantity, space, change and structure. Mathematics has a pervasive influence on our everyday lives, and contributes to the wealth of the country. The curriculum is framed using time tested and Internationally well-known books and is also based on the feed back from the best programmes available in our country. The curriculum includes different branches of mathematics that have a wide range of practical applications such as Algebra, Analysis, Mathematical Modeling, computer programming, Mathematical Statistics and Operation Research. The curriculum is so developed that the study of mathematics can satisfy a wide range of interests and abilities. It develops the imagination; it trains in clear and logical thought.

Duration of the Programme
Duration of the BLISc Programme is ‘One’ academic year from the year of Admission to the programme.
Medium of Instruction
The medium of instruction followed is English and Kannada.

Eligibility for Admission :
Eligibility condition for MLISc. Shall be BLISc.
Duration of the Programme
The duration of the M.L.I.Sc Programme is ‘One’ academic year from the year of Admission to the Programme.
Medium of Instruction
Medium of Instructions for MLISc programme is English. University will supply study material for the students which is in SLM pattern, in addition to face to face counseling. The guidelines will be in English medium. Each course is divided into 3 to 5 Blocks. Further, each block is divided into 3 to 5 Units. The students will receive 37 books in all for the entire programme. Students are given the option to write answer in kannada or in English.
Master of Law (LL.M)
Programme Title :
The programme is a Post Graduate in law leading to the award of Master Degree in law (LL.M)
Specialization in the Programme
The programme is offered with a specialization and “Intellectual Property and Technology Law” is the specialization with which LL.M programme is being offered in the current academic year (2010-2011). From the next academic year (2011-2012) “Commercial Law” specialization would also be offered.
Programme duration :
The duration of the programme is ‘two academic years’ from the year of admission to the program.
