Master in Computer Application (MCA)

Admission Qualification :
• A graduate in any stream from a recognized University + 6 months Computer Diploma
• A Pass in BCA/B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc. (Computer Science) degree
 
Lateral Entry to Third Semester of MCA
The Candidate, in addition to graduation, has successfully completed DOEACC A level certificate or B.E. (c.Sc/IT) or PGDCA from any recognized University / Institution.
 
Exit Scheme of MCA
After successful completion of first year of MCA, the candidate shall be eligible to obtain a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA).
After successful completion of first four semester of MCA, the candidate shall be eligible to obtain an Advanced Diploma in Computer Applications (ADCA).
After successful completion of all six semesters of MCA, the candidate shall be eligible to obtain a degree of Master in Computer Applications (MCA).
 
Last date for the receipt of application without late fees30th March 2011
Last date with late fees Rs.500/-30th April 2011
Last date with late fees Rs.: 1000/-30th May 2011
 
 

Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA)

Admission Qualification :
Admission is open to those who have successfully completed 10+2 in any discipline or its equivalent or a 3 years Polytechnic Diploma from State Board after 10th Standard.
 
Program Duration :
The program duration for BCA will be three years comprising of six semesters but the candidate will have to complete the program within six years from the session of enrollment.
 
Exit scheme of BCA :
After successful completion of first semester of BCA, the candidate shall be eligible to obtain a Certificate in Computer Applications.
After successful completion of first two semesters of BCA, the candidate shall be eligible to obtain a Diploma in Computer Applications.
After successful completion of all six semesters of BCA, the candidate shall be eligible to obtain a Bachelor in Computer Applications.

Master of Science (M.Sc.) - Computer Science

Objective :
As we enter the 21 st Century, the realm of electronic communication, which encompasses telecommunication, broadcasting, Information Technology and Enabled services in industries, is undergoing profound changes leading to Global Information Infrastructure (GII) . This is capable of carrying any type of Information. Information Communication Technology is increasingly powerful tool for development of Nation and transformed the way of human life as no other technology has. As India is emerging as an IT Superpower in the world, it is our responsibility to think on the advances in this area by harnessing the younger generation in IT/Computer Education.
In view of this, the Karnataka State Open University is offering a Two Year semester based M.Sc. in Computer Science Degree Programme (Two Semester per year - Total Four Semesters). The programme is specifically designed for a targeting the Research and Development, Teaching and Software developing in the field of Computer Science. This programme content is designed in such a way that it can mould candidates to get their job in IT Computers and other sectors.
The Karnataka State Open University’s M.Sc. [Computer Science] Programme is tightly scheduled and highly structured, client centered programme that aims at developing the software professionals to keep abreast of the most recent development in the field of Computer Science for the requirements of the dynamic and highly global environment of the present era. The curriculum based on the feedback from the best programmes available in the market, aims at enriching and sharpening software developing skills.
